You Can do It Challenge week 4

You Can do It Challenge week 4 : SENTIMENTS only + INSIDE 'lift'....♥

Well folks...I am hosting this week challenge on YCDIC4
and, as such, I requested for the partecipanting peeps to make cards that display sentiment (s) only...no immies...PLUS the inside of the card (s) MUST be finished  too....(not necessarly 'fancy' but certainly a wee bit 'dressed up'...) ♥

 Card #1
Very bright card made with leftover d/p and card stock.
The sentiment is from SU : 'Blossoms Abound' (2006)
Faux diamonelle and primas all from my stash.

All envelopes were obtained by opening up real envelopes as templates.
Traced w/pencil, and hand cut...plus added few simple punched out details et voila'! ♥

 Card # 2
Front of card above....and INside of card below
I used 'Swirled Frame' embossing folder from Crafty Too,
'Afterthoughts' sentiment ,wild wasabi c/s and d/p from  SU!
The centred frame is multilayered and raised, and mini pearls accessorize each singleblossom

Made a matching envelope and accessorized it w/ a crunched up flower on the side and a strip of matching pleated  d/p

Doesn't it look pretty as a set?? I discovered I LOVE making
 pretty envelopes ...♥

     Card #3
For this last card I used 'Victoria' CB embossing folder, lacey tape,
silk flowers, Bella baubles, Stickles and Spellbinders dies.
Sentiment is from 'Unity Stamp' IB-DD-196.

The outside of the envelope was vertically partially dry embossed as well
...and at the back of the envelope I placed a cute die cut butterfly as a finishing touch...

On this particular envie I added a strip of tape, ready to be used...
..and below there's a shot...

These cards  and matching envelopess  are going also to be entered  for the 100 cards in 100 days projet...txs! ♥

Hope you like these sets! :o) I'd like to make more envies!!...*wink*
Thanks for stopping bye! *hugs and smiles* ♥
GOOD NIGHT ♥

YOU CAN DO IT CHALLENGE!

Hello dear Blogland friends...
I have yet to close my eyes and I feel a 'crash' coming on soon....You see I have NOT
slept since last Friday!!! Cross my heart!!
Anyways, since Morpheus has been eluding me, I started to get creative and
made this card in the middle of the night (image was already colored over a year ago....in fact I have several more of the same to turn into cards, very soon...)

The weekly challenge, ending tonight on YOU CAN DO IT challenge (SCS) was hosted by Kathy (muscrat)She challenges us all to make an envelope...plus if U also created a  card, U would get an extra point...
Well who doesn't like points?....and cute personalized envies?? :o)

I used a MO Manning stamp for this card (LOVE LOVE LOVEE Mo Manning
awesome rubbah!!)
This one is aptly called 'The Big Guy Golfing'  -MO 113-

The finished inside part of the card has a simple sentiment from  an old SU set called
'Mixed Greetings'....The designer paper is a very old one from SU ...in fact it's from 2006!!!!....yikes....'bout time it was used don't ya think? lol
Tecnique used: piecing (his vest) and layering , hand cutting .

This card. and its envelope (cut by hand) are also part of my 100 cards/projects in 100 day, another thread on SCS. As a group, we are encouraged to use ONLY staff from our stash...nohing new, except for sticky tape if/when we run out of it....

I like the way the whole masculine ensamble turned out....
This card will be perfect for an avid golfer! (My son is one!!) ♥

Well I had fun making envelopes...(noticed the plural??) yup... there will be more to post soon!!....very soon!! ♥

By the way, if you like the wonderful rubber or digis creation from Mo Manning, please feel free to check  out my recently opened annual MO MANNING CARDS swap....it's a LOT of  fun and Mo herself generously provides great prezzies!

THANK YOU ALL FOR STOPPING BYE.....

Last Duel of Last Year....*Dec 2012 DDD*

 Hello dear bloggers and friends,
I am catching up with all the cards created during my two months of no blogging....
*BlogLand was NOT cooperating for a longgggtime* ....during that time I relied mostly on my SCS gallery,so  I'd like to particularly thank those of you who still followed me there and supported me via your comments....*muwahh*
If you wish, please scroll down to see other recent uploads...this is my third blog entry for today...just saying.....*wink and smile* ♥

This card was made from a kit sent to us partecipants from last Dec. hostess (Michelle)
I absolutly LOVED everything about this kit, especially this sweet image which I believe it to be a Whipper Snapper (?)

Thanks for a great kit Michelle!! :o)

I added is the faux snow, glitter and the card stock for the card base....
oh and a lil bell at the end of the hat too! I also embossed the Cajun c/s with snowflakes embossing folder to add more dimension....
The adorable immie was colored with Copics.

I must say that I am very happy with these colors combo...very bright against the darker d/p. I like how the sweet snowman 'pops'...
Below is how I finished off the inside of the card...

Thanks for stopping by folks!
♥ Blessings to you  all ...♥

January 2013: First Duel of the New Year!

Hello Everyone....
it's been SOOOO long since I was able to post!!!
(and, even as I write this. I am not that sure that I'll be succesful ...my fingers are double crossed!...)
**Note: this post sat as a 'draft' until today...**

I am starting off the year with a duel...yup...the DARLINGS monthly duel :o)
This month, our DAZZLER's darling hostess is Terry aka my sweet WPS.
She sent us a wonderful kit accompanied by a great ,fun, reading theme that
she and LJ (the DIVA's hostess) came up with!! Love, love, love it!!♥
Both hostesses asked both teams who our favorite author is,
or what our favorite book is and why...

The kit from Terry included the following items:
Image: MFT Who's That Girl - "Well Read"
Paper - Basic Grey DP "Study Hall" - I only had one sheet, I never buy just one sheet of any paper, but I only had one sheet to split for everyone, DCWV brown solid, Fancy Pants DP "Frigid"
Accessories: CTMH Baker's Twine - Neutral Assortment brown, Buttons - Dress It Up - Lone Stars, Nailheads Metal stickers - Mark Richards from Hobby Lobby, Ribbon - brown from my stash

*** All I added was Old Olive c/s for my base card and some vanilla c/s.
Tecnique: sponging and fussy cutting. ***

My favorite books
are the ones that keep you turning page after page like a frenzy...lol...
I love reading about good murder investigation to mysteries//mafia to lawyers// medical examiner to romance...etc... I like pretty much everything that can keep me totally absorbed . Currently, I am reading Patricia Cornwell (Dr/Scarpetta's series) and John Sandford (Eyes of Prey)...A third book is kept in my DH truck (reading time for me for when we go places) titled  'Persuaders' by Lee Child

I loveeeee readinggggg, anytime, anyplace at any hour...just like the girl in the image above, I can bury my head in a book and surface only if necessary!...lol!♥

   ♥   Thanks for stopping by....

testing testing...

well well well....It's been SOOOOO LOOONGGGG!!!! :/
I think this time it may work too!!! Le's just hope that by the time I press 'send' it all goes well...lol

Made these cards a couple weeks ago for 'You Can Do It' challenge on SCS and the theme for th week was to make cards using flowers...
For my first card I wanted to me a 'different' kind of Christmas tree using hand made, twirled mini rosettes....

....while for my second contribution I used my latest embossing folder acquisition
and I absolutly LOVE it! It is  aTim Holtz poinsettia die andmatching embossing
folder...woww.....the possibilities are endless!...Here I actually used simple wrapping paper in golden tones....the back ground is also embossed using anothr EB from same company. I will defnelty make more of these cards for next year holiday season. ♥

Thanks for stopping by!!!..........and now I am keeing my fingers tightly crossed as I am
about to publish.............unos....dos......y tressssssssssss!!! lol
